Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get started with Teampay? Expand/Collapse Icon

Getting started with Teampay is easy! Simply sign up on our website, and one of our representatives will contact you to help with the setup and onboarding process. We offer personalised support to ensure a smooth transition.

As a parent, do I make the game payment or does the team captain/manager? Expand/Collapse Icon

For most teams, the team captain/manager will process the payment on behalf of all of the players. This will be debited from your nominated bank account and pooled with the rest of the team payment. If you do process the payment before the captain, it will display within the ap that a payment has already been processed so that you are not selected for payment again.

What happens if two parents want to share the payments of their child? Expand/Collapse Icon

If both parents want to equally share the payments of their child there are a number of ways this can be completed. Firstly, one parent can join the team and process the payments for the first half of the season, then the second parent can join the team for the second half of the season. Alternatively, you can register a reloadable Visa Debit card and both parents can ‘top-up’ the funds for game payment each week.

How do I change team captain? Expand/Collapse Icon

The first adult account to join the team defaults as team captain. To promote another team member to team captain, the current captain simply clicks on the teammate they wish to promote, then selects ‘Promote to team captain’.
Make sure you get the newly promoted team captain to log out and log back in for it to take effect.
Only Primary account holders can be made team captain, not child accounts.

What happens if there is a forfeit? Expand/Collapse Icon

If the other team has forfeited the game, you will receive a notification through the app to alert you to the change. The organisation will then either carry over your payment to the following week or refund the team payment.

As Captain, what do I do if a payment fails? Expand/Collapse Icon

If a player’s payment has failed, the first step is to have the player/parent check their card details are up to date and there are enough funds in the account. After the parent has checked their account, you can select the Retry Failed Payment button to re-attempt payment for the failed payee(s). This will only attempt to take payment from anyone whose payment initially failed.
